The TD-17K-L is fitted with many features allow you to build on basic skills such as timekeeping, as well as other exercises that develop your sense of groove, tempo and timing, and even work on your stamina.

Players can work on their timekeeping with several coach mode exercises and build on stamina with daily exercise routines with the warm-up menu. In addition to this, you can capture progress and identify weak points that need working on with the onboard recorder.

The TD-17 sound module also features the integration with Melodics for V-Drums. Melodics is a Windows/Mac application that provides a large selected of free drum lessons to help you improve your rhythm, timing and muscle memory. There are also 7 play-along tracks for enjoyable practice.

The module features a handy holding slot for your smartphone – preventing you from hitting or dropping your phone whilst practising with the Bluetooth feature.

The Roland TD-17K-L V-Drums Electronic Drum Kit features the TD-17 sound module – including 50 high-quality pre-set kits, featuring Roland’s Prismatic Sound Modelling. The Prismatic Sound Modelling conveys every element of your performance in thrilling detail. This feature was first introduced in Roland's TD-50 series, their top of the range, flagship V-Drums kit.

The sound of each pad and cymbal can be changed on the module with over 300 onboard drum and percussion sounds to choose from. These sounds cover styles such as; jazz, metal, electronic and many more!

Create your own unique sounds

The TD-17 sound module allows for unique sound editing in various ways, allowing you to find your desired sound. You can change the size of cymbals, the room size and shape, the wall material and the mic placements. All of these options give you endless possibilities, so you can find a sound you're happy with, in any situation.

You can also import and layer your own samples using the SD card slot, allowing you to create a completely unique sound, or import a sound from external software such as EZdrummer.

Extensive editing functions offer sample layering, with an easy-to-use interface. Each sound can be edited with; delay, chorus, flanger, phaser and many more.

Improved mesh snare for an authentic experience

The PDX-8 snare pad is an 8'' dual ply mesh snare pad and Roland's newest mesh V-Pad. The PDX-8 features high-quality materials and a newly designed rubber hoop, providing an authentic acoustic feel. The head tension is adjustable, offering a natural rebound and stick-feel. Two independent sensors provide separate sounds to the head and rim, ensuring that the pad provides an authentic playing experience and makes the most of Roland's Prismatic Sound Modelling Engine.

Newly Designed KD-10 Kick Pad

All of the three kits in the new TD-17 series feature the newly designed KD-10 kick pad. This features a rubber cover combined with a cushion that's dedicated to absorb far more of the noise than the KD-9 kick pad that was previously used in the intermediate-level V-Drum kits. The pad still provides the satisfying thud due to the depth of the pad allowing the beater to sink deep into the pad. The KD-10 accommodates single pedals and double pedals, as well as being compatible with Roland's Noise Eater pedal to further provide a near silent playing experience.

Basix V3 Kick Pedal

Straight-forward, responsive and smooth action. The Basix V3 is a single chain kick pedal that gets the job done. It features a robust base plate with vented footboard and hard felt beater. The felt beater head produces well-rounded definition, thump and great rebound from the batter head. You can also turn the beater head around to use the plastic side for a different response. With infinitely adjustable spring tension and beater head angle, the Basix V3 is a simple and robust kick pedal that provides quick, responsive action.
