The pBuzz was designed for smaller hands. It features an intuitive and bright design that allows younger players to start playing songs they recognise straight away. Progression on the pBuzz is swift because of this simplicity. But the clever design means skills are tangible and transferable to other instruments in future.
There’s plenty of research to show that early exposure to musical instruments has a positive impact on brain development in younger children. Not only does it support social, language and reasoning skills, but it also supports effective memory development.
The pBuzz has six notes on the colour coded movable slide. The positions are labelled by note name (F, G, A, B, Bb, C) and slide positions from one to six. The colour scheme utilises the ORFF system which is used with many similar starter instruments. This offers a greater understanding of musical knowledge including pitch and note length.
The PBuzz is suitable for children of all ages, but especially from as young as 3 or 4 years. As part of EYFS (early years foundation stage) provision, the pBuzz is a welcome addition to many classrooms and works well in ensemble with recorders, chime bars, and hand percussion.
Plus, you can visit the pBone website for even more free resources including online lessons, backing tracks, and training.
The manufacturers of pInstruments are driven not only by the enjoyment of making music but also for caring for the world around us for generations to come. They are the first music instrument manufacturer to offer only carbon-neutral musical instruments that have been independently assessed by the UK's leading validator of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon emissions, Carbon Footprint. By being carbon neutral, Warwick Music Group funds projects that balance out the carbon emissions around the world to offset their footprint.
