Let's go back in time. The P Mauriat 67R alto saxophone is part of P Mauriat's premium range of instruments. Boasting a brass body with a large bell alongside a head-turning vintage finish, the 67R is truly reminiscent of vintage saxophones.
Perfect to touch. What really makes the P Mauriat 67R saxophone stand out are the gorgeous genuine abalone key touches. Whereas most saxophones use pearl, these abalone touches feel just as good as they look, suiting the 67R perfectly.
Fantastic attention to detail. Under the mechanism, you will find some major attention to detail which will aid your playing - prominently the rolled tone holes. Usually exclusively found on the most premium instruments, these rolled tone holes provide a warm and superior tone which is simply sublime.

Each and every premium P Mauriat saxophone is manufactured in a top-class workshop in Taiwan. Not only does this guarantee a flawless build quality, but it also enables quality control to be perfect.
What really makes the 67R alto saxophone stand out are the rolled tone holes. The majority of saxophone manufacturers make the body, then solder separate metal rings onto the body to form the tone holes. This requires putting the body through unnecessary heat treatment, and in the worst cases, means the tone holes can fall off. P Mauriat has designed a proprietary manufacturing method that enables them to roll the tone hole edge out, creating a one-piece body and tone hole. This results in far fewer solder-joints and a tone that is free, centred, and resonant.
If you're looking for a saxophone with a vintage feel, then the 67R is the instrument for you. No doubt the first thing you'll notice about the sax is the vintage finish. Mauriat refers to this as their Dark Vintage finish, and it's truly reminiscent of the instruments you'd find in jazz clubs in the 1930s.
Something you may not have noticed at your first glance is the large bell. This enlarged design produces a warm and fat tone to complement the saxophone's Dark Vintage finish. As an extra special finish, the 67R features hand-engraved embellishment on the bell which looks truly breathtaking.
The third and final feature which slots the Mauriat 67R into the vintage era are the genuine abalone key touches. Compared to the pearl keys you'd find on a standard saxophone, these abalone key touches suit the overall aesthetic of the 67R alto.
When you receive your new P Mauriat saxophone, you will notice that it comes with a few extra accessories. The included soft contoured case will provide outstanding protection to your saxophone.
