Details matter in an Audition
Every element of your violin works for you. Conrad Goetz selectively choose how they configure their instruments. Their original products are internationally respected. With the Audition, a Goetz Ebony tailpiece offers a specially selected, quality wood. The Guarneri chinrest is Ebony too and suits the power of this instrument, as the reduced surface contact and weight will let your music resonate across any audition hall.
The Audition is built to stay in tune. Fine-tune your highest and most delicate string with a black fine-tuner for the E-String, so you can adjust under pressure without getting flustered. A distinctive tuning feature included in this instrument is the Wittner Fine-Tuning Pegs.
Wittner Fine-Tuning Pegs
The Wittner Medium Violin FineTune Pegs are ideal for performance. The frame is made from a composite alloy that's both stable when adjusted and rigid for frequent use. The cog mechanism prevents it from turning in the peg box, keeping your string firmly gripped. Tune your string and it will stay put. Due to the peg's materials, it is not temperament to climate change, allowing you to confidently play at different venues.
A professional look
A body built on the best foundations. The Audition is masterfully finished but beneath this is gorgeous wood, the characteristics of which shine through. A thin but distinct grain pattern shows the aged quality of this Spruce on the top of the instrument. The back convinces with a nicely flamed appearance. Light flaming on the neck and scroll complete this sophisticated aesthetic. The Audition is made up of wood you'll be dying to play on.
The Audition is varnished to perfection. A refined, reddish-brown varnish has a depth of appearance with lighter shades breaking through. The thin coat, applied by hand, allows a delicate appearance whilst still offering robust protection against lots of different kinds of damage. The advantages of this varnishing continue, as it is easily re-polished, so you can keep your violin's immaculate look.
Dominate with Dominants
Dominant strings suit every player. Made for keen violinists, they are a favourite with live, studio, and casual violinists alike. This versatile nature takes them all over the globe. Wherever they are, their clear sound sings out despite humidity, making themselves a name as a durable choice. It's no surprise they're so strong with a flexible, multi-strand nylon core. With Dominants at your fingertips, you won't lose your nerve when playing even the highest note, as it can be reached with the E string's steel core.
