iFi iDefender+ USB Ground Loop Isolator, USB-A to USB-A

The iFi iDefender+ USB Ground Loop Isolator is a useful tool for musicians and audio engineers, helping to eliminate ground/earth loops, protecting your computer-based device from damage. It works by identifying if there is a ground loop and eliminating the problem by disconnecting your device's earth. This results in the ground loop being eradicated as well as any hum.

When the ground loop and hum are eliminated, the iDefender+ minimises your system's noise floor which improves the resolution and dynamics of your computer. Not only can it be plugged directly into your computer-based device, but the iDefender+ can also be used with a DAC which also improves the audio performance of your device.

For example, for users who have a DAC that requires USB hub power, the iDefender+ allows you to utilise an external power supply that blocks power from your computer-based device and feeds it directly to the DAC. When used in conjunction with a low-noise power adapter; you can optimise the performance of your USB-based DAC. It can also be used alongside iFi's iDefender 3.0; again upgrading the performance with the inclusion of low-ESR Tantalum capacitors for I/O filtering.
