Deeply sampled for maximum realism and authenticity, Elysium Harp features six dynamic velocity layers with eight round-robin alternatives per velocity layer providing an indistinguishable sound from the real thing.
Advanced controls are combined with an intuitive and streamlined interface that allows you to access the full gambit of tones possible with the harp, regardless if you're a beginner or an advanced studio veteran. Glissando, arpeggiator and pedal combinations are all included to discover the full range of sounds possible alongside several sound design modules such as a mixer module and modular DSP-based FX matrix. A 47-string Grand Concert Pedal Harp performed by expert player Jennifer Ellis, the Elysium is the world's largest concert harp instrument available. Extensively and precisely sampled and edited, the authenticity is indistinguishable from a real-life recorded instrument, with incredible dynamics and intricacies. What sets Elysium Harp apart from the crowd however is the flexibility and customisation of microphone placement, allowing you to dial in a variety of different sounds from intimate and articulate, full-bodied and warm to present and crystal clear.
Several articulations have been recorded with six dynamic layers and eight round-robin variations per velocity layer, per string. This allows you to perform highly dynamic and emotive pieces with no unwanted jumps between velocity layers that distract and take away from the performance. Everything from traditional finger plucks, fingernail plucks, soft and hard harmonics have been included to offer different timbres, allowing you to adapt to any project style. A range of unique playing styles has also been included to allow you the freedom to express yourself in your performance. Included are bass buzzes caused by shifting pedals after plucking the string to disengage the tuning wheels for a haunting, growling effect along with xylophonic damping techniques.
The harp is a challenging instrument to master. Many complexities and nearly limitless possibilities of the pedal system combined with an enormous amount of physicality needed to play the instrument precisely. Creatively explore evolving and dynamic patterns with the onboard 16-step arpeggiator, pairing perfectly with the harp timbre, the arpeggiator lets you add swing and groove to your tracks for added rhythmic complexity.
Mirroring the pedal system on a real harp, the onboard virtual pedal system comes with 74 common harp tuning presets, with 12 key-switch memory slots for instant recall. Creating a custom harp scale is made easy, allowing you to pair it with the onboard Gliss module for customised arrangements in only a few clicks.
Separating Elysium Harp from the rest of the crowd, you are provided with three stereo microphone positions: front sound board, rear sound ports and studio overheads. Each setup captures a distinctive tonal flavour and can be mixed and matched in the onboard mixer section. Control over the body, presence, level and output routing for each stereo channel is provided to fit your Elysium Harp to your mix. Combined with the included FX convolution reverb impulses, you can place your harp in a variety of different spaces for added depth and dimension to your sound.
