Traditionally you might stack compressors to achieve a range of different goals in your audio but POWAIR puts them all in the palm of your hands. Presented in a sleek and streamlined interface, POWAIR uses multi-stage, intelligent processing to control peaks, set target levels and reshape your tone in one plug-in.
Going beyond the conventional, POWAIR features a range of intelligent processes that make it the ultimate toolkit for producers and mixing engineers. A feature that has never found its way onto compressor plug-ins until now is the adaptive compression design. When engaged, it works by changing the compressor threshold removing it from a fixed level, but instead floats down to the same level by which your target audio drops below the input target. The main compressor dial can now control the microdynamics of quiet passages as well as the louder passages without adjusting levels or automating thresholds. Because the quieter passages hit the compressor at the same level, the longer macro changes are not effective, adding punch and power to quiet parts as well as loud ones.
Unique to POWAIR, the Punch circuit enables full control over the level of the transient during the attack period, independent from the attack settings. When turned to the maximum, transients will be compressed instantly as if the attack time was set to 0, making the attack control have no impact on your sound. This enables you to drive the Punch to the maximum and shape the transient detail independent from the attack portion of the envelope. Traditionally, the only way to do this would be to change the threshold levels but this would affect the recovery time and overall sound.
