Dante & MADI

The RME Digiface Dante allows you to distribute uncompressed, multi-channel digital media via standard Ethernet networks with near-zero latency and perfect synchronisation over long distances. This allows you to seamlessly run up to 64 Dante channels with the addition of 64 MADI channels via a single USB 3.0 connection. The Digiface Dante features 2 multi-functional banks of redundant network ports that can be used as inputs and outputs, as network switches, and for redundant operation with primary and secondary networks in case of security requirements.

TotalMix FX

The RME Digiface Dante also features the powerful digital real-time mixer TotalMix FX, which allows for practically unlimited mixing and routing operation, with all inputs and playback channels simultaneously to any hardware outputs. However, there are no FX as the Digiface Dante has no DSP. It still features the control room section with talkback, main/phones, fader groups, mute groups, complete remote controllability via Mackie and more. TotalMix can be used for a range for applications including setting up delay-free submixes, unlimited routing of inputs and outputs, distributing signals to several outputs at a time, simultaneous playback of different programs via a single stereo output, mixing of the input signal to the playback signal, and for integration with external devices such as effects devices.
