The Monkey Banana Gibbon 8 is a high-quality active studio monitor driven by a double amplifier system. It features an eight-inch magnetically shielded polypropylene ceramic woofer that projects powerful low end and a one-inch silk dome tweeter that delivers clean and sharp high frequencies. A 2 Band EQ allows you to adjust the speakers output of both high and low frequencies and a volume attenuator allows you to independently control the master volume. The Gibbon 8 has a wide range of connectivity, it has a balanced XLR and TRS input and an unbalanced cinch single RCA input as well. It is powered by an internal power supply fed by a standard IEC cable. This speaker can be used for multiple applications, such as with a home entertainment system or as a DJ monitor.

Monkey Banana are serious about making high quality studio monitors. The Gibbon 8 Active Studio Monitor is no exception. This nearfield studio monitor features a one inch silk material dome tweeter that provides exceptionally clear high frequencies and an eight inch magnetically shielded polypropylene ceramic cone woofer producing rich low end frequencies that pack a punch. The speakers are powered by a double amplifier, with zero latency DSPs that provide lossless digital and analog signal conversion. A two band EQ that lets you adjust the high and low frequency output to suit your acoustic space and a gain control allows you to control the master volume of the speaker.
Sturdy and versatile
The Gibbon 8 cabinet is constructed from a solid composite material that prevents damage to the inner components. It has a wide range of connectivity and an internal power supply fed by an IEC cable. The Gibbon 8 has a balanced XLR input, a balanced 6.3mm TRS input and an unbalanced cinch RCA input, these allow it to be connected to many different devices and conform into most active speaker setups. Not only is the Gibbon 8 suitable for studio work, but it can also be used as a HiFi Speaker, connected to a home cinema system or be used as a DJ monitoring speaker.
