Iconic-sounding chip in a compact module. The Electrosmith 3340 VCO employs a reissue of the iconic Curtis CEM3340 IC, used in legendary synths such as the Prophet, SH-101, Jupiter-6 and a whole lot more.



The CEM3340 based architecture is revered for its classic sound, making the Electro-Smith 3340 perfect for sound design applications. It provides you with a 10+ octave range, providing accurate 1V/oct tracking throughout for maximum versatility. Also included are simultaneous outputs of sine, triangle, sawtooth and square waves.



In addition to the various waveforms, the 3340 VCO module features linear/exponential FM, hard/soft sync and PWM parameters for further tone sculpting.

The 3340 VCO utilises one of the most great-sounding chipsets ever made. The Curtis CEM3340 IC has been used in the production of countless synthesizers. From vintage synths to modern day units, the CEM3340 was the driving force in the world of sound design. The chip delivers a warm and gritty sound, thanks to its analog circuitry.

This compact Eurorack module allows you to incorporate a piece of synth history into your existing modular setup. It is ideal for creating sounds and experimenting with tones thanks to its four available waveforms and its myriad of outputs. There is even a two-position switch for toggling between soft and hard sync control for added flexibility.
