ATEM SDI Pro is made to be easy to use, so you can learn it quickly to a professional level. It has four numbered input buttons to press to switch between video sources. Each of these sources can be switched between in either a cut or auto mode. The auto mode adds video effects that you can choose between yourself, making it easy for your live productions to look amazing.
There are four video inputs on the ATEM SDI Pro, allowing you to connect up to four cameras with SDI outputs. This allows you to have multiple different views for your broadcasts, increasing its professionalism with ease.
The ATEM SDI Pro also outputs webcam via USB connection. This tricks software into thinking the ATEM SDI Pro is a regular webcam, but it is a live production switcher. So you can connect to apps such as Zoom, Teams or Skype with the added professionalism of HD cameras in multiple angles - perfect for complex presentations.
Built in to the ATEM SDI Pro are a wide range of video effects. Using the cut button, you get instant cuts between sources, while the auto button enables effects transitions. As well as selecting the duration of these transitions, you can also select the type of effect you want. These include mix - a smooth transition - and dip - this fades via a colour during the transition.
In addition to this there are built-in DVE effects. These include transitions that move the image off-screen when transitioning between sources. It also includes image in image processing, which allows for the layering of sources within other sources, for a more professional look.
Connect high-quality microphones using the two independent 3.5mm stereo audio inputs. This will ensure you can always get the best audio for your broadcasts - with enough inputs to have a lapel microphone for both a host and a guest. The audio is run through a Fairlight audio mixer too - with the SDI inputs and both microphone inputs connected to this.
The ATEM Software Control app comes free with the ATEM SDI Pro. This allows access to every feature the hardware offers, as well a range of "hidden" features that are not immediately available on the console. You are also able to connect with multiple users using Ethernet, so you don't have to rely on a single computer for control.
View what all cameras are doing at once using the ATEM SDI Pro's multiview SDI monitor output. This is enabled simply by the push of the M/V button on the front panel. This indicates which camera source is on air, audio meters, and even more, so you can keep track of your broadcast's stats.
The ATEM SDI Pro has a built-in hardware streaming engine, allowing you to directly live stream to a range of platforms via an ethernet connection. Whether it's YouTube, Facebook or Twitch - just select which one you're using, enter the streaming key, and get streaming! Crafting high-quality video live streams has never been so easy.
Connect to the internet anywhere with tethering using phones for 5G or 4G connections. This allows you to stream with ease from any location. There's no need to manually change settings, too; the ATEM SDI Pro will automatically change settings.
If you want to record your streaming data for later use, the ATEM SDI Pro has got you covered. Just plug a USB flash disk in and you can save long recordings with the same H.264 video files and AAC audio from your stream. You can also connect multiple disks via USB hub, so when one fills up, it will switch to another.
