Ideal for learning
Develop your skills on a piano that will help you reach your full potential. The DP-6 digital piano has a comprehensive range of features, including Duet mode, all of which have been designed to make the learning process smoother. Teachers will love this function, as it splits the keyboard in two at the note of C#3, so two players can perform the same notes at the same time. This will be perfect as you play duets with a friend or an ideal teaching function so teachers can demonstrate a technique for you to copy.
Work on your technique. Every developing musician needs a metronome to improve their timing. Here, you won't need to purchase one separately as the DP-6 comes with an advanced one. You can adjust the speed with a tempo range of 20-280bpm and nine time signatures to choose from. You'll be inspired to keep practising thanks to 16 demo songs, in each of the piano's different voices, so you'll know the sort of great sounds you can be creating. Whilst you're practising, you can work on your music without disturbing anyone with headphone output. Then, when you're ready to perform for family and friends, the integrated speakers are perfect for small, intimate shows.
The acoustic feel
Practise your skills on a platform that enables you to transfer your technique to any piano, digital or acoustic. You get this with 88 weighted, hammer action keys. With such an authentic, natural touch, you'll be used to the resistance that an upright acoustic can give as you press down on its keys. These keys are full sized too, meaning you'll develop the correct hand positions.
As you play, the DP-6 will pick up on the expression in your performance in a way that will suit your style thanks to four levels of touch sensitivity. This gives you the choice as to the strength required to produce the loudest response. The quality of your sound will be high with 64 note polyphony, so all your notes get the chance to ring out to the full. Learn important piano techniques with the included foot pedal. Connect it to your Sustain input and you can extend your notes for extra emphasis.
Fun digital effects and features
Enjoy digital extras to add to your experience. With 16 different instrument voices to try out, including sounds like strings, upright bass, and a church organ, this is a great piano for having fun and trying something new. Experiment further with Dual Mode, letting you layer two instrument voices over each other, to create your own sound. You'll create an atmosphere with combinations like piano and strings. You can also accompany yourself in a different voice, by splitting the keys so you'll play one instrument tone with your left hand and another with your right.
Alternatively, add the perfect finishing touches to your sound with on-board reverb, chorus, and EQ. This means you can add in any of the eight different chorus types to the tone you're playing with. Adjust your EQ to the way you like it by changing the bass and treble levels. Once you have come up with some tunes that you like, it's easy to play them back with an in-built 2 track recorder, letting you record, playback and overdub one part on top of another.
Connect your piano
Perfect for the modern musician, the DP-6 comes complete with a wide range of connectivity options. With USB to host you can connect to your computer and use it as a MIDI controller, giving you access to a whole range of technology to continue your creativity. With the line in, your piano becomes more than an instrument. You can even take advantage of its high-quality speakers and play an external sound source from them to enjoy. Or, you can increase your volume by connecting to an amplifier, interface, or mixer with the line out.
