The Luna Vintage Concert Electro Ukulele features an all-mahogany build, resulting in a warm and lively ukulele tone. Mahogany produces plenty of treble tones and rich, resonant warmth. Additionally, the mahogany body offers more volume, and a strong balance between high-end and bass, which enables this instrument to maintain a classic ukulele tone. Mahogany is used a lot in the acoustic world, because it is relatively economical, durable, attractive, and offers a familiar warm tonality.

Comfortable Concert Body

The Luna Vintage Ukulele features a concert body, which produces a rich and clear sound that is suitable for numerous techniques. The concert ukulele, in general, has become the choice of preference for ukulele soloists due to its extended range. Additionally, the Vintage Concert has 17 frets, providing more room to experiment up and down the fingerboard, perfect for improving current technique. Furthermore, the Luna Vintage Concert is slightly larger than the standard soprano size, although, it still offers comfortable playability. The bigger size also gives the Vintage Concert a louder sound due to more room for sound to vibrate around the body.

Comfortable Neck & Walnut Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Vintage's neck offers a quick and dynamic response with added warmth and resonance. Mahogany's nature allows it to respond superbly to your individual playing style, enabling you to achieve your desired response and tone. Additionally, the Luna Concert's C-shaped neck profile offers comfort throughout each position up and down the neck. The C-profile also offers a secure grip and prevents the likeliness of a cramping hand throughout long practice sessions. Furthermore, the neck is topped with a walnut fingerboard, offering a smooth playing experience whilst enhancing the Ukulele's overall tone with a warm, earthy character and added clarity. For added aesthetic appeal, the fingerboard is graced with eye-catching mother-of-pearl shark teeth inlays.

Perform Live with Ease

Equipped with a Luna UK-T2 preamp and built-in tuner, you can take to the stage, studio, or rehearsal room with ease. Simply plug-in to an amp or PA system and find your stage persona. The Luna preamp features slider controls for bass and treble, as well as a rotary control for volume. This allows you to tweak you amplified tone and add a little extra treble or bass whilst plugged-in. Furthermore, you can tune your Vintage Concert Ukulele whether you're playing acoustically or amplified.

Luna History

Yvonne Villiers is an accomplished stained-glass artist who envisioned Luna guitars. Her inspiration for a line of guitars designed to maximise playing comfort came from her mother, Hilda Villiers, a bassist for over 40 years. Whilst watching her mum on stage, Yvonne couldn't help but notice the massive struggle her mum had whilst playing. With her mum being petite and using such a heavy instrument, she used to complain of how hard it was to be a woman and try to play these big bass guitars.

Yvonne then questioned if there were others like her mum that struggled with the same problems and pains. She came up with the idea of a woman specific guitar, uniquely tailored to fit their bodies, their hands, and their musical styles. Yvonne moved on to created Luna guitars, a line of guitars made for female musicians of all ages and crafted with luminous visual beauty to engage women's minds and spirits along with their talent.

Yvonne already had brilliant artistic skills and use of colour, she then applied the same techniques as she did with her award winning stained glass work to her new line of guitars. She is known for using rich colours that shimmer and shine with every movement providing an eye-catching design along with the great musical tones Luna guitars deliver. Yvonne's design expertise has led so many men to respond to Luna's well-crafted, spirit-engaging instruments that the company now creates guitars for both female and male musicians of all ages.
