Everything inside the BV1 MKII has been specially designed and hand-picked to achieve the highest fidelity possible. Utilising high-end capacitors from six different boutique companies (Solen, Nichicon, Wima, Elna, Kyocera and Epcos), the BV1 MKII delivers sonic quality like no other microphone out there. Featuring a customised Cinemag output transformer and a handpicked, edge-terminated 34mm SK12-style capsule; the BV1 MKII delivers stellar results across the board. No matter you’re audio source, the BV1 MKII will shine – perfect for vocals, pianos, percussion, guitar, brass, woodwind, guitar cabs and more.
Employing the finest components created using cutting-edge technology, the BV1 MKII achieves a sonic character like no other, providing a distinctive yet natural tonal flavour. The combination of all these components results in a full-bodied sound across the frequency spectrum with a massive low-end with a natural and air high-end. Building on the success of the original BV1, the MKII marks a new precedent in world-class microphones.
No matter source, you’re always prepared. The BV1 MKII features nine selectable polar patterns to choose from so you can cater to a variety of different sound sources. The variable polar patterns range from figure-8 through to cardioid and omni settings so you can get the best possible sound and response no matter what you’re recording. The microphone also features an onboard high -pass filter (80Hz) which is useful for eliminating unwanted low-end rumble. It also features a -10dB pad switch – perfect for recording louder sound sources such as guitar amps.
The BV1 MKII comes complete with everything you need straight out of the box. The robust metal shockmount is perfect for attaching the mic to a stand for hands-free recording. Keeping with the vintage style, the microphone also comes complete with a sleek wooden storage box for protecting your microphone when not in use. It also includes its own dedicated power supply required for the microphone to function properly and a high-end 7-pin cable to ensure the best possible signal integrity.
