The WHD Birch 12"x 5" Snare Drum has a range of features that you would normally find on more expensive snare drum. The shell is made from 6-ply birch, which produces a loud, cutting tone that boosts the high frequencies whilst maintaining a good, low-end punch. The 1.5mm triple flanged drum hoops allow the Remo UK batter heads to vibrate more freely, adding further sustain to the open, colourful tone of the drum.
A Higher Pitch with Faster Response
This soprano snare drum is commonly used in general drum kit applications, whether as a main or additional snare drum. It's shallower shell size produces a higher pitch and faster response whilst providing more body and thump than smaller piccolo snare drums, making it perfect for funk, pop and jazz as well as other musical genres.
