Paxman Series 4 Full Double French Horn Overview
The Paxman Series 4 Full Double French Horn shares many characteristics similar to the series 3 models, as well as features normally only found on professional level instruments. Such features include a detachable bell, water key on the mouthpiece, protective nickel hand guard and nickel silver valve casings. This model is lightweight and responsive and offers a rich, warm tone. Yellow brass is used to make this Paxman horn, helping the player to produce sound with very little resistance. Players can adjust the finger hook and thumb lever to find their most comfortable left hand position. The Paxman series 4 french horn comes equipped with a mouthpiece, set of oils and backpack case.

Yellow brass is commonly used as the base metal for brass instruments. A standard mix will contain 70 percent copper for brighter tones and 30 percent zinc for a focused sound with solid core. This combination helps the player to produce sound with very little resistance.
