Addictive Keys is a state of the art, virtual keyboard programme from XLN Audio. Two years in the making, Addictive Keys is a powerful tool for musicians looking to develop and create unique keyboard sounds with versatile and innovative software.

The Addictive Keys software is able to run on both desktop and laptop computers without compromising sound quality. The programme allows you to mix and match different microphone perspectives, utilise professional effects and shape your sound into something special.

Addictive Key's super-fast loading time means you can work faster and smoother. No more waiting around for huge instrument libraries to load! The inbuilt presets, ranging from authentic and natural to weird and wonderful, are the perfect addition to keep you creative. The short previews are ideal in giving you an idea of each preset's sounds.

To help you explore the countless possibilities Addictive Keys includes ExploreMaps which are a visual way of exploring the possibilities of the presets with many including quick controls for things like tone and effects. Use the maps to find your perfect sound or as a starting point for further tweaking and creation.

You can ensure the piano fits perfectly into the mix with Addictive Key's microphone selection feature which enables you to construct your own sounds by mixing and matching multiple mic perspectives. A user-friendly memo recorder allows you to capture any creative ideas quickly and easily. Simply hit the memo recorder button and save it instantly along with the performance and exact settings you are using. They are then ready to be recalled later or imported into most DAWs by simple drag and drop onto a MIDI track.

The MyCloud facility allows those with multiple computers to easily switch between them with all your presets and memos safely stored in the cloud. They are then available to use on any of your computers or ready to be shared online.

Instruments

There are three key instruments available on Addictive Keys. The classic Steinway Model D Studio Grand Piano is a world-class instrument with a warm and unique sound. Recorded in a large studio, there are six selectable mic perspectives and three ExploreMaps. The included ExploreMaps for this piano offer a variety of sounds from natural to strange making this versatile piano perfect for both production and stage use.

The Modern Upright choice features a Yamaha U3 which is commonly regarded as a modern classic amongst today's pianists. Its tight and defined tone combines with an airy ambiance ensuring it fits in nicely with a range of productions from smooth jazz to warm vintage sounds.

The Mark One features a Fender Rhodes MK I 73 electric piano and has a classic and intimate sound which was recorded in a large studio. It has been the most popular electric piano for more than four decades and is paired, here, with a MusicMan 112 RD Fifty 1X12" amplifier. The warm and intimate tone of this instrument played through the vintage tube combo and captured by rare vintage microphones creates a truly unique sound which can go from smooth and enthralling to tight and crunchy.
