Intellijel uMod II Overview
The Intellijel uMod II is an updated ring modulator from David Dixon's original uMod design with four added logic outputs for even further CV and audio mangling goodness. The uMod features an X and Y input with polarity switches and attenuators for controlling the waveforms whilst the quadrant knob at the top shifts the multiplication into positive or negative quadrants perfect for creating those bell, chime, metallic and robotic sounds.

There are four analog outputs featured on the uMod II, including SUM, DIFF, MIN and MAX. SUM adds X and Y inputs, while DIFF subtracts X and Y, MAX is the maximum of the X and Y signals at at any given time, and finally MIN which is the minimum of the X and Y signals. There are 3 positions for the X and Y polarity switches. When in the middle the waveform will be unaltered, when position right then only the positive half of the waveform passes through and when positioned left then only the negative part of the waveform is passed. A perfect tool for generating classic ring mod, sci-fi sounds.
