The HEDD Audio Type 30 Studio Monitor utilises a 3-way, tri-amplified design, including two horizontally aligned 7-inch woofers, a 4-inch midrange woofer and a HEDD Air Motion Transformer tweeter. The combined result is pristine audio quality that captures every nuance of your source material, ideal for mixing and mastering applications. At the heart of the Type 30 Studio Monitor is the four 300W Class-D ICE power modules in the amp section, producing impressive sound levels while retaining stellar audio fidelity. The speaker is designed for midfield monitoring applications, ideal for everything from studio spaces and broadcast studios. The immense clarity in the midrange and increased three-dimensional sound stage all help to boost the audio performance, for a truly impressive and flat sound.
Modular Input System
The highly unique modular input system the HEDD Audio Type 30 incorporates into its design, provides added versatility for digital and analog equipment. The highly versatile HEDD Bridge system allows you to insert option input cards for AES3-, USB2-, and even Dante / AES67 on the real panel of the speaker. This allows you to transmit digital audio over an ultra-low-latency network, ideal for professional mixing and mastering purposes. Additionally, the Type 30 Studio Monitor includes both XLR and RCA connections for connecting the speakers to external devices.
Design & Construction
The sleek yet robust cabinet enclosure, is rubber-coated for improved strength and performance. Its compact size combines power with a smaller footprint, for the ultimate studio monitoring experience. The convenient size makes it ideal for smaller studios, ideal for a range of applications from home recording to multimedia projects. The rear of the speaker features an 8-stage Gain control as well as low and high shelf attenuation controls for adapting to different spaces. The front of the speaker also includes three status LEDs that indicate when the power us on, or the speaker is not in use. There is also a White LED Sync that indicates when the HEDD Bridge extension card (for the modular input system) is synchronised
