Introducing CV Tools

Take control over all your gear with CV tools. Now you can receive, send, and manipulate CV. Meaning you can easily control Eurorack gear from your computer. Allowing you to meld the two workflows together to unlock new creative angles.

You can even use the CV tools within Ableton Live itself for a very modular-like workflow - from rotating rhythm generator and CV utility devices. Use CV instrument to control modular with MIDI. The CV triggers give you control of drum modules and CV utility controls your modular gear with Live's automation functions. There's more! Use CV LFO to add multiple LFO's to your modular systems, control modular gear with audio with the CV Envelope Follower - modulate and shape your signals with CV In and CV Shaper. Use Live's CV Tools to easily control your hardware in new and interesting ways. And you can even use CV tools as a way to control tempo clock.

CV Tools is free for all owners of Live 10 Suite running 10.1 or above and owners of Ableton Live 10 Standard with Max for Live. Users can either download CV Tools from their Live Browser under Available Packs or from their account page on Ableton.com.

Now included in your Ableton Live is the 10.1 update. Featuring new automation controls, a range of quality-of-life improvements, and a collection of new plug ins - there hasn't been a better time to get involved.

The Automation features allow you to stretch, skew and use a palette of automation shapes. There is an incredibly flexible channel EQ which adapts to how the controls are to provide musical results every time. As well as the powerful new EQ there is also a great new Delay plug in which combines simple delay and ping pong delay.

Alongside the new plugins and tools are improvements to zooming and scrolling - allowing you to navigate your music projects faster and more efficiently. On top of this, you can also track freeze sidechains, export and return master effects, and it now features VST3 instruments.

What's new in Ableton Live 10

Ableton Live 10 features a range of new features and enhancements designed to improve workflow and your creative ideas. Create new sounds with the new Wavetable synth, and shape and morph your sound using wavetables derived from analog synths, and a range of other instruments and sounds. Explore the rich sounds Wavetable has to offer and begin creating completely new and fresh sounds. A new Echo plug-in brings together the sound of classic analog and digital hardware delay, with a range of editable parameters for creating the perfect delay effect.

Pedal brings the character of analog stomp boxes to Live, allowing you to add subtle or completely reckless effects to vocals, synths and instruments. The new Drum Buss is a one-stop workstation for your drums. Add warmth and distortion with ease, shaping transients, compression, and your low end with the dedicated controls. Live 10 remembers your ideas, so when you're jamming and you forget to press record, Ableton 10 has you covered.

Use Capture after you've played an idea, and Live will match your tempo and timing to create a perfect loop. Ableton Live 10 also offers a range of workflow enhancements including an improved browser, ability to create groups within groups, optimised Arrangement view for quick editing, multiple MIDI clip editing, and a cleaner and clearer interface, complete with a collection of new, ready-to-go sounds. Max for Live is now fully integrated into Live 10 Suite.

Create, record and produce music with ease

Ableton Live 10 provides everything you to need to create, record, and produce professional music. Featuring top-of-the-line tools that let you edit, manipulate, play and process, Ableton Live 10 offers flexibility when creating songs. Ableton Live 10 offers a timeline-based workflow with Arrangement and Session view. The Arrangement view provides you with a timeline to organise your music and build your song. Live's revolutionary Session view provides you with a unique sketchpad for improvising, playing, and performing ideas, without the constraints of the timeline.

Freely and independently start and stop any number of tracks and jam out in real-time. Play and record MIDI notes that you've played, or even edit them in yourself with a range of virtual instruments, drum machines, synthesizers and more. You can then process them with top-quality mixing and processing tools including EQs compressors, delays, and reverbs, to shape and mould your sound. Use the improved automation editing to tweak parameters of your sounds or effects over time.

Record your own live instruments or external synthesizers into Ableton, or even use the included range of samples to create music. Whatever you choose, Ableton Live 10 offers you the freedom to produce what you want. Edit, warp and slice your audio and samples with the built-in tools. The included MIDI effects let you creatively manipulate your notes, while audio effects help to clean up your mix.
