The Ivory Feel coating on the white keys is a moisture absorbing material that replicates the organic properties of ivory, providing a comfortable playing experience, even in hot environments. The authentic hammer-action mechanism even produces less audible noise than previous designs. This is great for practice sessions with headphones as you won't disturb anyone around you.

SuperNATURAL Piano technology powers the FP-30X's onboard grand piano sounds, delivering a world-class performance. The FP-30X reacts dynamically with your touch for a responsive and realistic playing experience. The aim of SuperNatural is to go beyond the static experience of the sample-only piano sound found in many other digital pianos and create a voice that can change and evolve, just like a true acoustic piano. With all this processing power on tap, Roland has also been able to equip the FP-30X with a host of additional sounds including lush strings, dynamic electric piano sounds, and thick synth pads.

Integrated Bluetooth connectivity

The FP-30X features two distinct flavours of Bluetooth connectivity. Using Bluetooth MIDI, you can connect the piano to your favourite compatible Android or iOS device and interact with a wide range of apps, letting you edit, control learn, and create with your FP-30X.

Roland's Piano Every Day app lets you control advanced parameters of the piano from your device, as well as giving you the ability to create layered sounds, access sheet music, record your performances and keep a personal practice diary. Your piano can even function as a MIDI controller for music creation apps like Roland's ZenBeats or Apple's GarageBand, or you can connect to learning apps such as Skoove to improve your performance, whatever your level of playing.

Bluetooth Audio lets you stream your favourite music through the FP-30X's onboard speakers, or through headphones, so you can play along to your favourite tracks with ease, or even just use your piano as a Bluetooth music player, making it the musical hub of your home.

One piano for home and stage

The FP-30X makes a fantastic piano for the home; twin headphone sockets mean no messing around with adaptors when you don’t want to disturb those around you, and when you want to perform the FP-30X features a dedicated mode that optimises the sound through the downward-facing speakers so there’s no compromise in quality if you need to place your piano on a desk or table. There's also a dedicated wood frame stand and pedalboard available for players who want a self-contained home piano with a small footprint.

If you need to get out and gig, the FP-30X's lightweight and compact size make it perfectly portable. The onboard speakers are powerful enough for small performances and rehearsals but If you should need more reinforcement, a pair of dedicated stereo output jacks make plugging into a PA or keyboard amp quick and easy.
