The Ibanez SRFF800 features the classic Ash body of the SR series, delivering excellent tonal clarity with a powerful attack. Players will love the smooth elegant contours and the single-cutaway shape, allowing easier access those unreachable high frets. Finished in a black stain, the SRFF800 is an ideal choice for gigging guitarists, as the stain wont glare under stage lighting, and also looks good on photographs compared to a high-gloss finish.
The eye-catching ash body is mounted with a thin 5-piece jatoba/bubinga neck, which offers comfort and stability, that will not not warp or twist over time. Its slim profile is thinner than a traditional bass neck and allows for fast styles. Like many basses from Ibanez, this limited edition model features a rosewood fingerboard, and provides a warm, soft tone with a natural feel. This classic fingerboard is also decorated with abalone oval inlays for added elegance.
Available in 5-string and 6-string models, the Ibanez SRFF800 Multi Scale Bass Guitar features an innovative fingerboards design, including angled frets for a versatile tone choice. The ergonomic construction coordinates with the player's hand angle, providing a quick and smooth playing function. This versatile fingerboard offers the playability of a 34.5" scale bass, along with the comfort, and punchy tone of a 33.5" scale. By incorporating both scales, players can achieve a variety of classic SR tones in one model.
For a powerful bass tone, the SRFF800 Multi Scale Bass Guitar is equipped with a duo of Bartolini BH2 dual-coil pickups that deliver a warm, balanced response with a tight bottom end and a full midrange. Achieving the perfect tone is easy with the three-band EQ and three-way mid frequency switch with 250 Hz, 450 Hz and 700 Hz output options.
The SRFF800 Multi Scale Bass Guitar also features a new Mono-rail V bridge. This innovative design offers a wide intonation adjustment range, and each independent saddle provides a maximum string vibration transfer without any interference.
