Select Spruce Top & Mahogany Body

The Safari Muse Nylon features a select spruce top that yields crisp articulation and delivers a broad dynamic range. Spruce is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops as it generates a versatile sound and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive to fingerpicking. The wood itself is quite elastic in nature, which resonates well whilst remaining strong, and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright sparkling highs. The brightly toned spruce top is paired with mahogany back and sides which deliver a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones, with great projection and volume.

Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Muse's neck provides players with plenty of resonance and great durability. Its mahogany neck responds greatly to numerous playing styles and techniques with ease, and has become a favourite among guitar players for its rich and versatile playability. To provide a comfortable playing experience, the neck features a C shaped profile to offer a better grip. The neck is topped with rosewood fingerboard which produces a warm, bright, sparkling-sizzle that really shines through when using fingerpicking techniques. Its rosewood fingerboard also provides a smooth and energetic play and is sprinkled with mother of pearl moon phase inlays to project Luna's beautiful eye for detail and nature-themed designs.

Travel Size Dreadnought

Despite its small size, the Muse's dreadnought body shape and combination of tonewoods provide a strong and versatile tone suitable for classical, Flamenco, and fingerstyle techniques. The Luna Safari Muse offers great projection and volume, although it won't sound as big and boomy as a full-sized dreadnought. Its small size is ideal for travelling, as players don't have the burden of a heavy and large instrument that may cause inconvenience when on the road. Luna History

Yvonne Villiers is an accomplished stained-glass artist who envisioned Luna guitars. Her inspiration for a line of guitars designed to maximise playing comfort came from her mother, Hilda Villiers, a bassist for over 40 years. Whilst watching her mum on stage, Yvonne couldn't help but notice the massive struggle her mum had whilst playing. With her mum being petite and using such a heavy instrument, she used to complain of how hard it was to be a woman and try to play these big bass guitars.

Yvonne then questioned if there were others like her mum that struggled with the same problems and pains. She came up with the idea of a woman specific guitar, uniquely tailored to fit their bodies, their hands, and their musical styles. Yvonne moved on to created Luna guitars, a line of guitars made for female musicians of all ages and crafted with luminous visual beauty to engage women's minds and spirits along with their talent.

Yvonne already had brilliant artistic skills and use of colour, she then applied the same techniques as she did with her award winning stained glass work to her new line of guitars. She is known for using rich colours that shimmer and shine with every movement providing an eye-catching design along with the great musical tones Luna guitars deliver. Yvonne's design expertise has led so many men to respond to Luna's well-crafted, spirit-engaging instruments that the company now creates guitars for both female and male musicians of all ages.
