Laminated Flame Maple Hollow Body

The Gretsch G6136TFM-DCHY Falcon features a striking appearance whilst staying true its iconic design and classic Gretsch aesthetics. Crafted with a laminated flame maple body, this limited edition, hollow body guitar delivers a rich articulate tone, as well as crisp overtones that sits well in any mix. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also incorporated into the guitar's design, which allows the natural sound to be projected acoustically. These elegantly cut holes, also provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era. In addition, this stunning guitar's hollow-body design also makes it lightweight, and allows it to be played all night long.

Neck & Fingerboard

The flame maple body is paired with a maple neck, mounted with a 12”-radius ebony fingerboard, with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. This maple neck also features a standard “U”-shaped profile for fluidly easy playing, and ensures a comfortable performance. The added single cutaway design also allows easier access to the higher frets and therefore allowing you to play more complex styles.

1959 Trestle Bracing

Like many guitars from Gretsch, the G6136TFM-DCHY's hollow body design is constructed using a 1959 trestle bracing. This classic bracing system is used inside certain Gretsch hollow-body guitar models, and improves the tone by increasing sustain and decreasing feedback.

TV Jones Classic Pickups

The G6136TFM-DCHY features dual TV Jones Classic pickups that respond to every pick or strum, offering a refined, articulate tone and an unmistakable sound reminiscent of the 1950s era. These pickups are controlled by independent volume controls, a master volume control and a three way toggle switch, that allows you to perfectly tailor your sound. In addition, the new Gretsch “Squeezebox” paper-in-oil capacitors deliver silky vintage high end, for the ultimate sound.

Real Bone Nut Enhances Sustain

The G6136TFM-DCHY also features a real bone nut, that not only maintains the guitar's authentic appearance , but also offers excellent resonance and sustain. A bone nut delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a lot longer. In addition, this type of nut naturally self lubricates and helps you stay in tune for longer, for the optimum performance.

String-Through Tailpiece

Another classic feature on this limited edition model is the String-Thru Bigsby tailpiece, which allows for quicker and easier string changes, as well as providing increased vibration transfer for enhanced sustain. This is an ideal function for gigging musicians who may need to change their strings more often and quickly.
