The Dean Michael Angelo Batio Guitar delivers stunning tones and captivating looks, equipped with an AAA grade flamed maple top in a beautiful natural gloss finish that will enhance anyone’s stage presence. Not only does the maple top look stunning, it also adds a subtle amount of warmth and brightness to the overall tone for a sparkling high-end. The maple is coupled with an alder body, which is strong enough to resist twisting and warping but light enough for a comfortable playing experience. Alder is the perfect tonewood for versatile musicians, offering a rich, full tone with plenty of warmth and sustain to create a cutting midrange and stunning low-end.
Mike Batio's Signature Dean is equipped with a set of their versatile USA DMT pickups, featuring a Backer Act humbucker at the bridge, Mike's own Hands Without Shadows humbucker at the neck, and a classic SCVH single-coil in the middle. The Backer Act pickup, which features wooden bobbins to add a little extra organic character to the overall tone, delivers a high output, responsive lows and highs, and plenty of growl and grit, perfect for shredding and rock. Batio's signature Hans Without Shadows pickup offers plenty of clarity and attack, with beautiful soundscapes that excel with fast playing styles. The SCVH single-coil rounds everything out with a smooth tone, powerful enough to work solo or coupled with the neck or bridge humbuckers for an incredibly versatile performance.
For many years Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose Original locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique pitch shifting effects. Unlike non-locking tremolo's, the Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch while still retaining the initial tuning thanks to the addition of a locking nut at the end of the headstock.
This Signature Dean Guitar also features a maple neck coupled with an ebony fingerboard, equipped with Michael’s custom spec'd C-shaped profile and 24 jumbo frets for added comfort and versatility. The maple tonewood provides the Signature Dean Guitar with an incredibly bright tone, offering plenty of sweet characteristics to make the high-end shine. The addition of an ebony fingerboard enhances the natural characteristics of the maple, creating plenty of depth and midrange punch to suit a variety of playing styles.
Along with its incredible comfort and tonal options, the Dean Guitar features a selection of high-quality hardware to provide an incredibly stable performance. Its Grover tuners and Floyd Rose R3 locking nut ensure the Dean Mike Batio Guitar remains in tune, even against harsh playing style, while its D’Addario strings provide excellent playing comfort and a long lifespan.
