It's not just about power. The Amped 1 is literally an entire amp in a pedal, so you could take this by itself and enjoy USA and UK style amp voices without needing any other gear! With a shapeable three band EQ, built-in reverb, and a host of different power valve responses, the Amped 1 can bring some serious tones all on its own!
The USA mode is inspired by classic American amps of the mid '60s, and is perfect for super clean tones and blends well with pedals. The UK voice focuses on a much loved British Class A amplifier from the early '60s, and boasts a low to medium gain profile that works both as a pedal platform or for responsive crunch tones. Finally, the flat response is a neutral preamp for use with your own external amp modeller.
The Blackstar Amped 1 makes your performing life so much easier. You can say goodbye to lugging around enormous valve amps and hefty cabinets, because the slim and dainty build of this pedal makes travelling and setup processes a breeze. It's small enough to easily slot into pedalboards and backpacks, and comes with effects loop and 2x 9v DC outputs to integrate seamlessly with your other effects.
Whether you're performing or recording, the Amped 1 will give you a totally authentic cabinet response. It's loaded with Blackstar's latest speaker simulator technology (CabRig) that accurately recreates the sound and feel of a genuine cabinet.
You can adjust and tweak these even further using the accompanying free Architect software, over 250 mic and cab combinations can be saved into one of the three onboard slots, with each having a choice of mic type and axis, alongside room type and Master EQ. So, you'll always enjoy incredible tones whether you're playing live through a PA or laying down a track on your DAW.
