In the Evo IV version, the Ashdown ABM 600 features an upgraded variable valve drive preamp section. This enhancement enables more drive and harmonic content by delivering more current to the 12AX7 tube. With this improved preamp section, you can dial in a sound ranging from pristine clean tones to the fattest, fullest bass overdrive available. What's more, its drive level can be pre-set and activated, providing quick access to a wide range of clean, warm, and overdriven tones.

The Evo IV boasts a sophisticated 9-band EQ, reaffirming its reputation as having one of the best equalisers in the market. The input VU meter allows you to find the optimal levels for your instrument quickly. Its EQ features familiar bass, middle, and treble controls, along with six sliders for precision cut and boost at specific frequencies: 100Hz, 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3KHz, 2.6KHz, and 5KHz. Instantly transition from a flat fretless sound to your preferred EQ setting. The improved 9-band EQ delivers sonic perfection and is sure to impress both new and experienced ABM users.

Take control of your sound

This bass amp head retains the popular one knob dynamic compressor feature from previous models. This straightforward and great-sounding compressor allows you to achieve a powerful and even harmonic with just one knob. From subtle compression to massive bass tones, this compressor is sure to make your bass fill out any mix.

Also equipped is Ashdown's signature sub-harmonic generator, an effect that adds an octave below the notes you play, providing depth and fullness to your bass parts. The level of the sub-harmonic effect can be easily adjusted, allowing you to dial in anything from a subtle hint of deep bass to a full-on, subterranean funk.

Professional connections

As expected from a high-quality bass head, the ABM 600 Evo IV offers a wide range of professional connections. It includes a tuner output, a line out, and a transparent FX loop for seamless integration with your other gear. Additionally, there is a line input for connecting an external sampler or sound source. The output muting feature cuts the signal from the DI output while leaving the tuner output 'live,' enabling you to tune up in silence.

It is also compatible with the optional FS-4 footswitch, providing even more versatility on stage.
