The Tascam DR-100MKIII is a durable, yet lightweight portable recording device, ideal for a range of professional audio applications. With the ability to record directly from the uni-directional or alternatively omni-directional stereo microphones, you can choose the perfect recording settings for your needs. The Tascam DR-100MKIII features dual AKM AK4558 converters which sport a VELVET SOUND architecture to provide reduced power consumption with no compromises in terms of high quality audio.
The XLR/TRS connector on the DR-100MKIII gives you access to external microphone and line in connection. The DR-100MKIII features phantom power which provides either 24 or 48 volts for use with external condenser microphones to provide great versatility in terms of recording applications. These XLR inputs themselves are optimised to deliver the lowest noise yet highest quality of all of the Tascam handheld audio recording devices on the market. To sustain the high audio quality, the DR-100MKIII utilises high definition discrete architecture (HDDA) mic preamps.
The Tascam DR-100MKIII supports prolonged use times, thanks to the dual battery structure. The built-in lithium-ion battery works together with the removable AA batteries to provide sufficient power over much longer recording sessions. If the batteries are running low, the device can be rapidly charged by either an AC adapter or by USB Bus power from an external battery pack.
