The Seymour Duncan designed humbuckers take influence from Duncan's own '59 Model and SH-2N Jazz Model. These pickups have alnico magnets for a tonality based on the PAF design. They give a vintage output that has great nuance in lower gain sounds. When driving an overdriven amp/pedal setup, they maintain excellent clarity, so you'll still hear the real tone of the guitar coming through. The pickups are wired with a 3-way switch for multiple combinations, and feature a push/pull coil-split; accessed via the tone control. This gives you access to single-coil sounds and provides the Solo 6 with even more versatility.
The Solo-6 has a familiar single cutaway guitar design, yet brings Schecter's own adaptations to give it an individual look. The body is crafted from mahogany which provides a warm, mid-focused and resonant tonality with plenty of sustain. The body is topped with flamed maple for bright overtones and a classy aesthetic. The body is mounted to a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard; a time-tested design that gives great resonance and note articulation. These tonewoods are classic combinations that have proved their worth over decades of manufacture, giving you a familiar and well-balanced sound. The body has deeper contours than traditional instruments, making this guitar particularly comfortable to play over extended periods.
The mahogany neck has a comfortable profile and 14'' radius for a classic playing feel. The 22 medium frets are the ideal balance between vintage and modern. The neck is mounted to the body with an "Ultra Access" neck joint, meaning that you'll find it just as easy playing at the top of the neck as you will at the bottom.
A fixed TonePros bridge gives the Solo-6 excellent resonance and sustain. It also provides tuning stability, further assisted by the quality Grover tuners. With the set neck design, here you have an incredibly resonant and stable instrument that is perfect for long rehearsals and active performances.
