When the engineers at JAM Pedals first began to design the RetroVibe, they set out to recreate the sound of the vintage UniVibe, but once they achieved this they decided to expand its capabilities to create something even more unique. Built using original NOS 2SC828 transistors and a carbon-comp resistor to produce true vintage sounds, the pedal also features an internal trimmer control to adjust the level of the effect. An extra internal trimmer is added to change the maximum intensity of the effect, dramatically manipulating the RetroVibe’s sound while maintaining its true vintage character. Other features include a chorus/vibrato toggle switch to provide more tonal possibilities, and an expression pedal input for controlling the pedals speed.
JAM Pedals are a manufacturer of boutique analogue guitar and bass pedals from Greece. Each pedal is built by hand, made from the highest materials on the market along with rare NOS chips, specially selected matched NOS transistors, and Carbon comp resistors. The pedals are also given hand-painted finishes for a visually stunning aesthetic, and true-bypass switching to ensure the pedal won’t affect your tone when not in use.
