As the second rendition of the popular preamp pedal from Gurus Amps, the SexyDRIVE MkII keeps all the features of the older model and improves on its capabilities to deliver grater tones. Taking inspiration from world renown overdrive tones of old, Gurus have added a blend option to the pedal, featuring a balance control knob to mix in the clean signal with the overdrive, letting players tweak the tone to revive pick attack and increase the dynamic feel. A hole in the bottom of the pedal provides access to a trimpot, letting players set the level of how much the clean signal will be mixed when turning the balance pot.
Overdrive & Boost Options
The powerful preamp pedal can be used to enhance your tone in two different ways, as a powerful overdrive or a soothing boost. Use the gain level to set the amount of overdrive your tone has, delivering tube-like, dynamic saturation with a warm, organic drive. Turn the gain all the way down to create a boosted effect, letting you add extra harmonics and volume for solos or weak signals. Use the full tone stack to sculpt the boosts interventions to suit any playing style.
