The MH-417 is loaded with a pair of high output EMG Pickups, these consist of an EMG 81-7 in the bridge position and an EMG 707 in the neck. The EMG 81 produces an incredibly intense sound, with plenty of high end cut. For the classic pickup combination, this LTD MH Guitar also features an EMG 707 at the neck, which is an exceptional 7-string pickup. The 707 produces a responsive and tight sound, and perfectly articulates each harmony you require.
7-String Maple Neck Paired With Rosewood Fingerboard
The ESP LTD MH-417 features a 3-piece maple neck which is strong and more resistant to warping than classic 1 piece necks. Maple offers a bright and clear tone, yet the rosewood fingerboard brings warmth and richness to soften the sound. The 7 Strings offer more sonic possibilities for ultimate fast shredding.
Double Cutaway Body Crafted From Mahogany
The MH-417 features a double cutaway body for easier access to the higher frets, and is crafted from mahogany. The mahogany body provides the sound with richness and resonance, as well as a tone with good bite and sustain. Mahogany is popular among rock musicians, as it is a durable tonewood and works well with punchy rock music. The mahogany body is finished in a smooth black satin for a classy, metal appearance.
