The Dreadbox Nyx Analog Synthesizer features a paraphonic, semi-modular configuration, allowing you to trigger multiple notes at once for added flexibility when it comes to creating sounds. The analog circuitry delivers the warmth and grit usually associated with older synthesizers, giving you a true modular experience with immense depth and character to your tone. The Nyx Synthesizer is ideal for music producers and sound designers, with an ergonomic layout and premium-quality components designed to optimise your workflow. The two dual wave analog oscillators feature functions for detuning, filters, reverb effects and more. The Nyx Analog Synthesizer even comes complete with 15 built-in eurorack compatible patch points for combining modulation.
One of the most unique features of the Nyx Paraphonic Synthesizer is its VCO and VCF audio routing. The dual VCO’s deliver the paraphonic playing capabilities, with both of them boasting a wide operating range for added flexibility. The two VCO’s also feature individual glide control and PWM as well as a dedicated vibrato LFO, allowing you to utilise a wide range of raw analog tones. The built-in VCF is configured for dual mode operation, allowing you to switch between either 24dB or 12dB for the low pass or high pass. The VCF also includes controls for the resonance and master cutoff as well as a rotary switch for routing selection. You can even attenuate the signal using the post slider for added control.
The Dreadbox Nyx Analog Synth features everything you need to create robust and varied analog tones that retain their natural warmth and punch. The reverb section of the Nyx Synthesizer is created by Crazy Tube Circuits (also found on the Splash Mk3), delivering a truly unique reverb that can add depth and character to your sounds. The three routable modulators can also be used as LFO’s for added versatility and the synthesizer can work as a MIDI to CV converter, perfect for those wishing to use the Nyx Synth with your computer, opening up a whole world of possibilities.
