If you’re looking for something more portable or craving a different tonal setup, this could be the right moment for a change. The HT Stage 60 MKII 2x12 delivers a powerful valve sound with plenty of versatility, but you might be interested in a lighter option or a rig with more focused control features.
Consider switching to a 1x12 combo for easier transport, or an amp head and separate cab setup for a more tailored sound. There are also hybrid amps that combine valve tone with digital features, giving you more flexibility in your rig.

After years of research and development, Blackstar have re-imagined the award-winning Venue series of amplifiers to provide increased functionality and deliver outstanding tones to the musician who demands versatility alongside professional features. The HT Stage 60 combo delivers this in a powerful and projecting 2 x 12 cabinet with enough volume and spread to cover larger sized venues and musical scenarios, alongside recording, low-volume setups and silent practice.
The HT Stage 60 includes three channels for clean and dual overdrive sounds, with each channel consisting of tonal voicings to choose between. The clean channel offers pristine American style cleans, and then at the push of a switch is completely re-configured to provide British style chime which breaks up when driven harder. OD1 provides the 'classic' overdrive tones through to 'modern' tones with its voicing control, while OD2 pushes this further with the options of 'hot-rodded classic' tones through to aggressive 'modern' distortion. All modes are footswitchable giving you 6 total modes to play with on stage. They can be further shaped by the unique ISF tone control, giving the option of American/British type responses with an infinite blend inbetween the two states.
The overdrives of the HT Stage 60 are wonderfully nuanced, cleaning up when you roll back your guitar's volume, and lacking any of the 'fizz' sometimes associated with high-gain tone. All of the amplifier modes are footswitchable, meaning you have 6 modes to utilise on stage and should be able to re-create any level of overdriven tone that you may require. The overdrive channels are capable of both vintage mid-range heavy sounds to the more modern and articulated tones typical of metal and rock. This ensures you have capabilities in any genre you like and the ability to switch those sounds instantly.
The HT Stage 60 Combo includes a power reduction, enabling you to dial down the volume to 10 percent of the max and get those saturated tube tones at a much quieter level; ideal for home practice or sensible-volume studio tones. Cabinet Emulation allows you to achieve a direct signal to mixing desk or recording device, with 4x12 or 1x12 cab simulation available. Both the XLR and Stereo Emulated outputs remain active even when in standby mode. This allows for silent recording or practice when the amplifier is in standby, regardless of any connected speaker. The 2 x 12'' Celestian speakers provide additional width of sound, making sure you'll be heard over your band.
A built-in digital reverb provides two switchable tones, from light to dark giving 'room' or 'plate' style sounds. If that wasn't enough, an FX loop and USB out allow you to connect your own pedals, and record directly to computer with 4 separate channels giving cabinet emulation alongside direct output; useful if you wish to re-amp after recording. The HT series has a wealth of connectivity and you should find a use for it in almost any application you can imagine.
The HT Venue MKII Series have been re-designed to make them even more portable and manageable for transportation. With vintage-inspired grill cloth and solid construction, they not only look good but are built to withstand the rigours of gigging, rehearsing, touring, and the general lifestyle that a busy musician can throw at it.
