Out of the box, set all the dials straight up at noon and it already sounds great. From here it is just a matter of taste. The gain of each frequency band spans + and - 15dBs which allows you to sculpt your tone if you need to.
At 100w this bass amp is suitable for everything, from band practice to a full gig the Studio 12 won’t let you down – wherever you are.
Versatility is key here. The Studio 12 isn’t short on features, including an FX loop, line-in, DI out and a headphone out. This amp is as happy in a bedroom as it is playing live or recording in a studio. Jamming along to your favourite songs is as simple as plugging an MP3 player to the line in, and if you want silence, just plug headphones in – doesn’t matter what time of day your playing.
One of the most surprising things about this amp is how light it’s and it has a 12’’ speaker yet it kicks out 100w of power. Ashdown is constantly pushing what’s possible in terms of engineering and it shows – always keeping the working bassist in mind.
The Studio 12 delivers Fat, huge, and responsive drive tones on tap. 'Emulated drive' has come a long way, and with the convenience of not having to worry about fragile glass breaking or burning out, just adds to the sheer reliability of this amp all without any detriment to your tone.
