With 32 channels via Thunderbolt and 24 via USB, Orion Studio provides you with ultra-low latency connection to either Mac or PC, and therefore to any DAW in your home or commercial studio. The vast range of digital and analog I/O are combined together with the flexible routing matrix to ensure incredible functionality and seamless integration with all your existing outboard gear. The Orion Studio offers two pairs of monitoring outputs, 16 analog outs, 2 preamp outs, as well as 16 channels I/O via ADAT and 2 channels via S/PDIF.
Based on a custom FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) with massive parallel processing capabilities, Orion Studio utilises Antelope's tried and tested custom DSP. Orion Studio's FPGA device is eight times more powerful than regular DSP chips used in similar devices, allowing for fast and easy simultaneous processing of multiple effects such as EQ, compressor and reverb. This huge advantage enhances the workflow while the instant application of the effects to the various mixers provides zero-latency monitoring of the processed signal both to the producer and the artists.
The extremely low latency performance of the Orion Studio allows you to play and record guitars with a natural feel. You can now capture the powerful sound of classic guitar amps via a unique sampling technique used for vintage gear modelling. The Orion Studio offers a wide range hardware-quality audio effects including the highly renowned Pultec EQ emulation as well as the highly versatile AuraVerb reverb. The full list of premium quality vintage FX plugins include: VEQ-4K Series, NEU-W495, NEU-2492, Tweed Deluxe, Overange 120, Marcus II, Burnsphere, Top 30, Darkface, Modern, Plexi 59, Rock 75, Rock 22.10, VEQ-1A, VMEQ-5, VEQ-55A, BAE 1073, FET-A76, VEQ-HLF, Helios 69, NEU-PEV, Lang PEQ2, FET-A76, Antelop FeedForward Compressor and Auraverb.
The Antelope Audio Orion Studio is the ideal choice for guitarists as well as audio professionals, providing you with a professional audio interface that is highly suited to capturing high-quality recordings. Combining the integrated vintage and modern-day guitar amp and cab simulations allows you to utilise the exception realism and precision the hardware-based FPGA effects deliver. The combination of both vintage and contemporary effects allows the user to experiment with mic placement, EQ Settings and more.
Fully controllable using a user-friendly desktop application with colour-coded signal routing, Orion Studio's app is compatible with both Windows and OS X. By utilising the control panel, you can create up to four independent, zero-latency mixes assignable to any outputs including two independent headphone outputs and the two pairs of monitor outputs. In addition to the flexibility, the control panel delivers the handy option of storing up to 5 presets for fast recall of your most common recording or mixing settings. Now available is a Windows thunderbolt driver, providing the high-end speed and reliability on Windows computers.
The flexibility of digital signal processing is attracting more and more guitarists on their search for the ''perfect tone'' - both in studio and live settings. Sadly, inferior interfaces and poorly written DSP algorithms are often an obstacle to the desired perfection. But now thanks to the collaboration between Antelope Audio and Overloud Audio Tools, leading guitar effects have been combined with Antelope's powerful DSP engine, pristine conversion and clocking technologies. This new solution for guitarists ensures the preservation of the authentic tone throughout both recording and playback.
Orion Studio offers a variety of vintage and contemporary guitar amp simulations, as well as cabinets too. Bringing precision and audio realism to a whole new level, allowing you to experiment with multiple speaker configurations, mic placements and EQ settings. The Overload and Antelope partnership helps to capture the true sound of these legendary guitar amps thanks to the unique sampling technique and modelling algorithms.
