Utilising a vintage shell material and construction, the masters MRV has been crafted for the most discerning musical palette. The 4-ply North American maple shells deliver smooth, open tonality with a classic dark resonance. 4-ply reinforcement rings deliver tone control, a lively sonic punch, and shell stability. Perfect for genres of music from old to new, the Pearl Masters MRV 22" Am Fusion Shell Pack delivers superb sound for any kind of music.
Superior Shell Technology
Each shell is carefully manufactured to achieve the ultimate air chamber. The shell materials are milled to precise thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams to create an air-tight fit. The plies are saturated together using Pearl's AcoustiGlue that dries to the same consistency as the wood for maximum resonance. At the end of the process, the shells are shaped in high-temperature moulds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. You can rest assured each shell is formed to perfection, giving you the purest tone and maximum shell strength.
OptiMount suspension system
The OptiMount provides zero interference with the tom drums, giving those thin, 4-ply maple shells the space to breathe with full, shimmering resonance.
FatTone Hoops
Pearl's Fat Tone hoops are low-mass 1.6mm hoops for wide open resonance. The exclusive hemmed and welded edge adds incredible strength and rigidity at the point of contact, giving you powerful rim shots and cross sticking.
Special finishing process
Pearl use a 31-step process to create the unique finishes on their drums. This signature finish makes them instantly recognisable as Reference Pure drums.
