The WHD lap cajon features a solid frame with a 15mm beech plywood body and an attractive patterned top. The body creates an extremely resonant tone throughout the range of the cajon owing to the individual sounds holes located in the middle and both edges of the instrument. The middle of the lap cajon creates a focused bass sound due to the deep chamber underneath the top panel, and the shallow sides create a sharp attacking tone that is combined with the snare sound.
